Ride along the main road between fishermen’s houses and community activities toward Pwani Mchangani, with a stop at the main square where you can support the local community by purchasing essential gifts. Continue toward Kinyasini village, passing through Kandwi and its scenic rice fields, with a short stop to learn about the island’s economy and natural environment, followed by a visit to traditional mud houses to discover local culture and traditions. The journey then passes through coral stone fishermen villages, includes a visit to the local fish market (Soko la Samaki), and ends with a refreshment stop at Waikiki before returning to Kiwengwa. For an enhanced experience, you may add a gourmet lunch at The Island, Pongwe Lodge, either after the morning tour or before the afternoon tour, creating a perfect blend of adventure and relaxation.
